Where can I find a good talent tree to look at?

Unfortunately I don't play Feral so I can't give any strong advice in this regard. What I can tell you is that there are two core PvE Feral builds: one for tanking and one for DPS. You can mix and match to a certain extent, but to be the absolute best, you have to make choices.

There are no Balance talents worth mentioning, but a good Feral build should try to include Furor, Naturalist, Natural Shapeshifter, Master Shapeshifter, and Omen of Clarity from the Restoration tree. Unfortunately, that's 16 points down the drain so you'll have to make some sacrifices, especially at 70.

Further, I recommend a DPS or tank/DPS build for leveling, since all of the pre-heroic instances are designed to be tankable by just about anybody. Hell, I could probably do it in Balance spec if I threw on some Feral gear. :-) It's only when you get to heroics and raids that you need dedicated tanks.

interesting....although obviously it's less of a hassle with enough armor/mitigation that only tankers have.

meh if I'm bored sometime this week I'll post a few lvling / cat dps specs

I healed Utgarde Keep last night in Balance spec and Balance gear, with Holydude tanking in Protection gear/Retribution spec. It was entertaining, but we did manage to muddle through. :-)

Thanks for the input. I am looking to go DPS, at least for leveling. :)

Elitist Jerks has a bunch of Feral threads but no specific one that I would call "definitive". I linked one in the main post, but really if someone wants to tackle writing something for them, feel free to do so.
