Stealing a shams SS charge for a freaking Wind Serpent is retarded. Use a cat or ravager.
Shhh! Theres a dead horde in my trunk. Wanna see it? Fuck around and you'll be it.

Yea, eating up a ss like that is a waste. Let the shammy use a earth shock, an elemental shammy can use lighting bold or chain lighting on it and we just so happen to have a raiding boomkin who probably loves eating a SS.

/agree with cat or ravager ( I think a cat has been showen to do more than any other pet, but I don't remember the link)
Beastmaster with a cat with Fero. and cobra reflexes.
Its a rare class that has dual pve pvp use. The faster you pet attacks (my cat has close to a 1.0 attack speed) the more you keep your group buff up. (Basically 100% of the time). and it stacks. so 3 BM hunters in a group is a 9% dmg buff. Ever see a caster try to get a spell off with a 1.0 attack speed pet hitting them?

Also, for fellow cat users - don't train bite. Just claw. It is better energy management for the amount of energy you are throwing at your pet.

I think the comments on the post above go into the flaws of using a wind serp in such a way.

"There is simply no world in which a hunter's pet consuming SS charges adds more DPS than an elemental shaman.

To break it down further, let's compare LB and LO separately.

2771.55*0.2 = 554.31 extra damage from SS
1385.7*0.2 = 277.14 extra damage from SS

Pet's get 12.5% of RAP as spell damage. Base damage of pet's LB: 99-113/2 = 106
(106 + 0.125*X)*0.2 = 554.31
X = 21324.4

Repeated for LO:
(106 + 0.125*X)*0.2 = 277.14
X = 10237.6

A hunter would need 21324.4 RAP for their pet's LB to gain as much from a Stormstrike charge as a T6+ elemental shaman does from his LB, or 10237.6 RAP for LO.

Not gonna happen."

you could turn lb off on your wind serpent, but then its dps advantage over a cat or ravager goes away. just some food for thought
