Wrath holy build

Post by Arlan » Fri Sep 19, 2008 12:37 am

Has anyone come up with a good holy spec for wrath? Some people are saying holy pallies will be speccing deep into ret for Sheath of Light, but I've also been reading that people actually in the beta are saying 51 points in holy blows the holy/ret hybrid out of the water in terms of healing ability. Here's my attempt at a holy build:

Suggestions on how to improve this are welcome.

For PvE, that's about as solid as it gets. My guess would be that, for level 70, you'd just drop the points from Retribution.

Anyway, with your Judgements increased to 30 yards, there should no longer be an excuse for Holy Paladins not to utilize them. :-)

I wonder if going deeper into prot to get divine shield would be the way to go for a holy pally.

Do you mean Divine Guardian? It's certainly a disgustingly powerful ability for its position in the tree and might be worth speccing for all by itself.

Edit: Also, I think Beacon of Light might be one of the most OP healing abilities ever. It potentially doubles your healing output, meaning you could place it on the main tank and then raid heal, healing the MT at the same time. Alternatively, you could place it on the OT in a fight like Gruul and then concentrate solely on the MT. It makes me shiver just thinking about it.

I was looking at putting points into conviction. I know in wrath that melee crit = spell crit, but the wording on the talents had me wondering if conviction would apply healing spells, since healing crit talents say "critical effect" and conviction says "critical strike", leading me to believe that it may only effect offensive abilities.
