Terrestrian Illhoof Macros

Post by Lealla » Sat Jun 02, 2007 12:57 am

After tonight, I thought I'd put together some helpful macros for dealing with the Demon Chains on the Illhoof fight.

Nuker macros

Target Demon Chains

Code: Select all

/target Demon Chains
Target and cast in one macro

Code: Select all

#showtooltip
/target Demon Chains
/cast Uber Spell of Meganuking
Normal cast, but target and cast on modifier key (what I use)

Code: Select all

#showtooltp
/target [modifier:alt] Demon Chains
/cast Uber Spell of Meganuking
Variant using focus (requires nothing but manic button mashing, letting you go about your business normally.)

Code: Select all

#showtooltip
/focus [target=focus,noharm] [target=focus,dead] Demon Chains
/cast [target=focus,harm,nodead] [] Uber Spell of Meganuking
Healer macros:

Note that I'm not sure if these will work - it depends on whether the Demon Chains just sit there while the debuff is on the player being sacrificed, or if they actually target the player and inflict the damage themselves. If the former, the macros below won't work and you'll have to do the job manually.

Target Demon Chains' target

Code: Select all

/target Demon Chains
/target targettarget
Variant using focus

Code: Select all

/target Demon Chains
/focus [target=targettarget,help,nodead] targettarget
/targetlasttarget
/cast [target=focus,help,nodead] [] Really Neato Healing Spell

I was just thinking about the above macros and I came up with a neat variant that will ensure that you cast on whatever super-important DPS target may be present in the fight without losing your current target. You activate this behavior by holding the designated modifier key (in this case, Alt). You can add as many high priority targets as you have room for in the macro.

Code: Select all

#showtooltip
/cleartarget [mod:alt]
/target [mod:alt] Astral Flare
/target [mod:alt] Demon Chains
/target [mod:alt] Corrupted Lightning Totem
/cast Uber Spell of Meganuking
/targetlastenemy [mod:alt]

Here's another version, for the folks who like their macros to work entirely without supervision. It uses focus to preserve your original target. Note that you'll lose your focus if you use this macro in combination with any other focus-based macros.

Code: Select all

#showtooltip
/focus
/cleartarget
/tar Astral Flare
/tar [noharm] [dead] Demon Chains
/tar [noharm] [dead] Corrupted Lightning Totem
/target [noharm] [dead] focus
/cast Fireball
/target focus
