MM Hunter Macro

Post by Guenever » Wed Apr 16, 2008 4:16 pm

So, if I want to make a macro for shot rotation to max the DPS with a 2.7 speed bow what should I do...

I start every boss fight with misdirect followed by Aimed, Steady & Arcane shot, but if I want to have just one button for the rest of the fight what should I put on it and in what order?

I'll have to pass this one to the Hunters, since I don't know enough about the class to post anything definitive. I do know that there are a number of macros floating around: Tag can probably give you some good advice.

Tbh,

You can use a castsequence macro which is fully explained on www.elitistjerks.com, look for the survival or marks thread under class discussion.

*Personal opinion*
I'd advise against it and I would just spend some time manually weaving shots on Dr. Boom till you got the hang of it. Mainly because as marks using a 1:1.5 rotation, you'll constantly be moving in 5 mans and it will just tear your castsequence macro to shreds. Also just depending on a macro wont let you adjust to certain things.

i.e CC near the boss? I can't use macro cuz Multishot is in there.
i.e Running low on mana and need to just spam steady shot while i regen?

so on and so forth.

Quick Version: Get quartz or LittleTrouble and manually weave a proper 1:1.5 rotation.
No.

Dig through the hunter threads, I posted a macro that I covers pretty much everything.

it's a steady/auto macro all you do is weave in arcane and multi as they are up. So bacicly it's spam steady auto steady arcane steady auto multi steady auto steady auto arcane, etc........

It works amazing if you spec BM, just ask Tag.
