dire need of anti-virus protection

Post by ryeku » Wed Mar 11, 2009 6:05 pm

I ve been having trouble with all the regular anti-virus programs that I would use including:

AVG (the one i love but sadly i get an error all the time i try to install it)
Avast (suddenly stopped working right when i installed new comp hardware and now doesnt want to work, even after fresh install or after updating)
Norton (i have a sucription from my cosine who owns a multi-comp sub but its giving me updater trouble)
PC tools (currently the one im using but i hate manual updating)
Mcafee (have to find my cd first)

I ve been researching a few programs to use but they all seem like they do a cruddy job. Any feedback would be nice please.

Edit:

Probably also want computer specs:
Gigabyte EP45-UD3P
4gb critical balistix
intel core 2 duo E8400 3.04ghz
500 WD Green 5200~7200
Windows Vista 32-bit
512 x2 ATI 4870 in x-fire
Thievery is not what other's make of it, but what you get from it.

Webroot AntiVirus

Been running it for over a year now, rock solid and hasn't missed anything.
It's the thought that counts, not how many people die because of it.
