Building new system <$500 including everything

I need to build a PC for Guen's parents. It just needs to be able to run open office, surf the interwebs and basic stuff like that, no 3D games or anything.
I figured the on board video card would work, so I didn't include one. I have added a wireless router because they want the childrens to have laptop access throughout the house. I didn't include a mouse b/c I have one they can have. I guess I should add a UPS too....

See any thing wrong with this build?

you don't have a cpu cooler

the one you have is oem... no cooler.... just to let you know

is 4 dollars more, faster, with a cooler (a cooler will cost you 5 bucks minimum).

are you sure you don't want to get a sata dvd burner? same price... probably get one with free shipping... or apparantly half of the dvd burners are out of stock at the egg... interesting

system looks good. you have the essentials (a cpu without a cooler (even the 45nm ultra efficient ones) will fry in a matter of secconds).

cool, switched the CPU for the one with the cooler and I'll opt for a SATA burner... I really don't know the diffrence, but I'll assume its better and it was actually a couple bucks cheaper.

When I built a system for my girlfriend a couple weeks ago, newegg had a 19" acer monitor for $99 w/free shipping. Hmm, looks like that deal is gone, but you can still save $10 on this one:

System Buyer's Guide under $825

Page 2 and Page 3 have some suggested parts for an AMD or Intel PC for under $550.

Although the prices are almost 2 weeks old (May 14th), perhaps the following might be worth considering:

Sony Optiarc Model 7240S-OB (optical drive)
Acer X193W+BD 19" Widescreen LCD (monitor)
Microsoft CA9-00001 PS/2 Keyboard and optical mouse [/url]
