I won the AMD 40th anniversary contest, my prize is an AMD 7850 cpu and Gigabyte mobo.

I have enough odds and ends laying around to put together a system once the new parts arrive, I just need to order some ram and a case. I'm not sure how much ram they'll need. I'll probably throw xp pro on it, my parents are pretty casual users, mostly internet/e-mail/ms office. My mom is a teacher and occasionally previews dvds to show her class on the computer. I feel 4gb is barely enough for my needs sometimes, but do you think they could get by with 1gb, or should I spring for 2gb?
Was thinking of ordering this memory:

Also, I have an old 6800 ultra video card I could throw in there, but the mobo has on board ATI HD 3200, think they'll notice a difference between the two?
Oh yeah, this will be an upgrade from their 1.5ghz AMD sempron with 512mb of ram.

1 gig of ram would probably be enough, however i'd go for 2 gigs.

i doubt they will notice a difference with the 6800 ultra. the only difference they are likely to notice is the power consumption. the 6 series has no real benefit to helping video playback.
so go for 2, and i doubt they'll need the 6800
