"Well... We are happy to announce an official way to tell Huntards from Hunters at a glance. We have introduced "cool looking" pets that huntards will consider "must have" and we have lowered the dps for that tree to utter crap, thus making it so you can tell simply by looking at a hunters pet if he a huntard. We find this method preferable as you can see a hunters pet from a distance and you have to be semi close to a player to inspect them. Rejecting someone who is standing right next to you can be awkward, but running in the opposite direction when you see a huntard coming toward you from a distance could lead to the plausible excuse that you simply "didn't see" them. We do regret having to sacrifice what was once a great tree to accomplish this goal, but as it was the highest DPS spec in BC, we figured we would also catch all the noobs that haven't respeced since we released SSC and TK. We are hoping most huntards from vanilla wow have moved on from the MM spec that was king years ago to the BM spec of BC, but as there might still be a few still lingering, we have decided to go with the SV tree as the dps tree for Wrath. We have also reintroduced the concept of crowd control in 3.1. We feel that trapping was once a good method for determining if a player was a huntard or not and we are happy to see its return. While we have made great strides in painting huntards with big red flags so you can avoid them, we have no plans on stemming the tide of incoming huntards by increasing their difficulties in leveling - we will continue to allow players to melee mobs while their pet tanks without banning their accounts."
